In 2001, Donn Harvey was on the other side of the staffing business. As a director of engineering responsible for growing a team, he found generalist staffing firms unable to provide the technical professionals and service he needed. So, he started his own: Protingent. Using his experience as both a research engineer and a director-level manager, Donn built his network of connections into a powerful resource for clients and a source of high-quality employment for technical professionals. He loves putting people to work and helping clients solve their problems—not to mention the challenge of constantly refining Protingent to be a best-in-class company. Donn believes in going above and beyond: truly listening to clients and proactively offering solutions—sometimes to problems they don’t even know they have. His team shares this philosophy, always going the extra mile to help clients and candidates succeed. Outside of Protingent, Donn plays bass in a local blues band and is an avid dual-sport, off-road, and adventure touring motorcycle rider.

Tim has been part of Protingent since the beginning. Already a top-performing staffing account manager at another firm, Tim helped Donn clarify and execute his vision of a better tech staffing company. In addition to working with Donn on company strategy, he trains, mentors, and assists Protingent managers and recruiters. Over the years he has been responsible for bringing in some of Protingent’s top performers. His unique, tenacious style and attention to detail have earned him lasting relationships with engineers, managers, and high-tech companies. Tim is very much a people person. He loves helping Protingent people succeed, finding work for engineers, and going the extra mile for clients. He shares Donn’s love of music, and rounds out his off hours with skiing, swimming, and tennis.

I have been in staffing for 15+ years as a Technical Recruiter, Sr. Account Manager, and Business Development Manager. My specialty is Engineering because that has been the focus for most of my career.
I love this work because I get to see what our Clients are inventing and producing, along with identifying the right Engineers to help with technological advancement.
In 2005 I joined Protingent. During these years I have connected hundreds of highly successful Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers with qualified engineers to complete their projects on time and with great success.
A little about me: I grew up on the Oregon Coast in Seaside. I still make it out to Seaside to take in the sights, sounds, and the ocean air. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Business Marketing from Oregon State University. I am also family oriented with three children that keep me busy outside of work. For fun I travel with my family, enjoy watching sports such as football and soccer and any James Bond movie.
My philosophy is persistence without exception! Never give up! I want our Clients to succeed while helping Engineers find their next assignment.
I can help you achieve success by providing technical staff to successfully complete projects and move the business forward.
Working with Product Development companies who need contingent support to accomplish their development cycles is my specialty. I enjoy learning about different companies and new products in development. I can help find the top tier talent that will assist in meeting project related goals.
I strive to solve problems through active listening and relationship building. I enjoy meeting new people and understanding what motivates them. My goal is to partner with others to help them meet their goals.
Outside of work, I spend my time going to concerts, searching for great finds at thrift stores, hiking, doing yoga and re-creating recipes in the kitchen with my teenage daughter.
Because of my fascination with tech in general, my favorite part of this job is getting to know Engineers and Developers and seeing the inner workings of their projects. Product Development and Gaming is my specialty – I take time to understand what you do and how you like it done, then offer bandwidth support and specialized search options.
I believe the best people in tech staffing sincerely want to help people, listen first, and have fun doing what they do. I love my job because I can help people navigate one of the most stressful life events we all experience; job hunting.
Personally, I love dogs, anything sci-fi and fantasy, and care way too much about the Dallas Cowboys. I also sing (badly) while alone in the car.
