Redmond, WA – January 16, 2012 – Protingent Staffing, a Redmond, Washington based provider of highly skilled engineering and IT talent to companies nationwide, today agreed to become a Visionary Partner in support of  Issaquah based non-profit art center, artEAST.

As a Visionary Partner, Protingent joins eleven other businesses and individuals that provide the bedrock funding needed for artEAST to meet its basic operational obligations. Protingent is a long standing supporter of the art center. Protingent President, Donn Harvey, along with his wife Deby spend much of their free time supporting artEAST through involvement in special events, program planning and in the gallery. Donn also serves on the board of directors as Treasurer.

“I am proud to be part of a group of forward looking business people who see real value in supporting the arts at a community level” said Harvey. “Art in our society inspires creativity at all levels including technology. Engineers and technology companies realize this and benefit from a strong local art community. “ continued Harvey.

artEAST is a dynamic and innovative non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts an integral part of life in our community. Founded in 2005, the organization is led by Executive Director, Karen Abel and a small group of local artists who believe that whether we are viewing an exhibition, learning a new technique or expressing our creativity, art enriches lives and creates energy and optimism. In November 2010, artEAST moved from a small gallery space to a new 3,200 square foot art center located in the heart of downtown Issaquah. In 2011, the art center exhibited the work of more than 300 artists, hosted over 160 classes, workshops and community events and greeted 12,000 visitors.

“We are so pleased to have Protingent as a Visionary Partner," said Abel. "Protingent's generosity frees our 240 members to focus their energy, talent and monetary contributions on art programs that directly serve the community".

"The arts have always made an economic contribution to communities. But companies like Protingent also understand that art centers have transformative effects beyond traditional economic measures. Artists and art activities – always in need of collaboration, alliances, audiences and resources – tend to be very community-centric, creating social relationships, energy, synergy and innovation. Arts are particularly important during times of economic stress. They provide the optimism and energy needed to get out of bed and move forward!"
